Audi 2012 E-Tron Spyder
Audi has unveiled the E-Tron Spyder at the Paris Motor Show. This concept will be powered by a 300 horsepower, 479 lb-ft of torque, twin-turbocharged V6 TDI, as well as 2 electric motors.
The E-tron Spyder has a curb weight of 3,196 pounds and a drive-train can be driver-controlled to operate on electric power only at speeds up to 37 mph for a total of 31 miles.
The car can sprint from 0-62 mph in 4.4 seconds, with a top speed that is electronically-limited at 155mph.
It also has a short wheelbase and perfect 50:50 weight distribution for dynamic handling. Audi states that the E-tron has the drivability of a go-kart, and is superb on bends and curvy roads.
The Audi e-tron Spyder requires on average just 2.2l diesel/100 km (106.92 US mpg), corresponding to CO2 emissions of 59 g/km (94.95 g/mile). A range of more than 1,000 kilometers is possible with the 50-liter (13.21 US gallons) tank.
The open sports car can also drive strictly on electric power with zero emissions up to 31.07 miles. Stay tuned to Motor Lounge for more information as we receive it.
